Hello,
I hope you’ve had a lovely week, that it’s been gentle and kind.
I come to you from a week of quite a lot of feelings and things, my birthday, a catch up with friends, instagram blocking me out of my account, omg if you know YOU KNOW, and stepping out of my comfort zone, with a bit of an introduction from me over on Instagram, featuring gorgeous pictures from Natalie Rose Wilde.
An introduction, better late than never

News of exciting new things from ELC
a birthday wish list
This week I turned 38 and of course it’s me i’m all contemplative, a Libran and it made me stop in my tracks a bit. I’m not sure why really I LOVE BIRTHDAYS. I requested chocolate cake with a cherry on top and it was delightful. I started ELC when I was 30 and even typing this makes me feel a bit emotional, next February it will be 8 years of ELC, and I think that’s what inspired the re-introduction. I have found so much friendship, connection and growth through running this business, and i’m so grateful to everyone who has joined along the way from the early days of life drawing to what it is now, a little intro over here, the why and how ELC began.
OUR NEXT MARKETS 49 days to go

An exciting Collab, online Talk with Han Valentine incoming
Soon we will be launching tickets for an online talk/workshop with Brand Designer Han Valentine, the creative behind all our Makers Market Posters (and here’s a sneak peak of this years winter one above). This talk is going to be for anyone who is thinking about stepping up their branding, creating a consistent identity and wants to stand apart from competition. Everything changed once I found Han, ELC became what I dreamt it could be and she gave me the space to work out what I needed and what I wanted my business to become, it was the first investment I made and the first time I let go of full control and those two things felt huge and scary, and so this is something me an Han have spoke about on and off for years, and felt like a really great time to create a workshop/talk that could help anyone in that position of should I? Will this add value? What would I even need? How much would it cost? We’re even going to have a Q and A for anything that’s not covered and a pdf booklet to refer back to, we’re hoping to launch tickets next week (£20) and will be hosting October 24th 7pm - 8.30pm on zoom, If this sounds a bit oohh that’s me , keep your eyes peeled.
My Dream Birthday Wish list 2024 edition
Birthdays, would it be a letter from me if I didn’t include a little curation of items I think are just lovely and beautiful, this one features my dream birthday list for this year, which must include, something to inspire and something to make life a bit more lush and of course lovely things that I will want to use/see daily.
Whats in your stars? Is a beautiful astrology card card deck illustrations by Celia Jacobs, if you’re after something that is great for prompts, journaling, for something thoughtful you can do with friends and that looks beautiful this deck is for you, it’s a great conversation starter too.
Anna-Lisa Smith, has launched a whole new super soft range of woven scarves.
I love these boujee pencils black wing, game changer, I don’t really like a biro and this just writes so silky and dark.
Colourful standard, I love and live in sweaters, but i’ve got 4 grey ones and need to expand, feel like coffee brown is great for ..hiding coffee stains and feeling super autumnal.
The new sell out Donna Wilson X Jon Klassen cushions are just the cutest.
An everyday is a birthday with Tessa Layzelle leather star garlands
Greeting Cards as artwork, Liz Rowland picture perfect new illustrations.
I’m so big on these old school stripes I love everything Tekla do, but just imagining a little stripey plush face towel would really elevate the night time routine.
These mugs from Fern Taylor.
Thank you for reading, see you next week for a post most likely about branding but also maybe an autumn trend one.
Have the best weekend.
